Pastor Mondy, who has been serving at DCCC for over 20 years, will be retiring at the end of this coming March. To show our appreciation for his years of service and to commemorate this milestone in his life, we will be having two Retirement Celebration events on the weekend of 3/18/23.
Please feel free to attend both. Below are some details on the celebration and gifts:
1) Potluck and Sharing
Saturday, 3/18/23 12:00 noon - 2:00PM
Bring a dish of food (please bring a serving utensil as well) to share as we fellowship over lunch. Lunch will be followed by a program and sharing in the sanctuary.
2) Appreciation and Blessings
Sunday 3/19/23 11:45 AM
We'll join church wide for a prayer of blessing on Pastor Mondy.
DCCC Gift: We will be compiling a binder with encouraging messages and photos from the congregation. Please submit a message with/without a photo electronically to lisa.lau@d-ccc.org or into Lisa Lau's mailbox at church by 3/14/23. Your note will be put into an 8.5x11" sleeve in a binder. Please do not submit any physical copies of photos that you wish to be returned to you.
Monetary Gifts: If you choose to give a gift to Pastor Mondy and Grace, it will be a personal gift and will not be tax deductible. If it is a check, it should be addressed directly to "Mondy Chen", not to "DCCC". We will have a box available to collect cards for Pastor Mondy at the 3/18 and 3/19 events.
