招志明牧師

Pastor Kelvin Chiu

自 1986 年接受耶穌基督為他的救主，招牧師決定跟隨耶穌腳步，從事神要他服事的工作。自俄亥俄州立大學（Ohio State University）畢業以後，他起先在一家基督教書店擔任電腦工程師。這段期間招牧師讀了很多關於基督教的書籍，也藉這個機會見了許多牧師。電腦工程師固然是一份優渥的工作，但這些經歷讓他體認到不能滿足於現狀，必須為主做更多的事奉。為此，他向神尋求，希望神開路。後來透過主的引導，招牧師的人生在神學院得到更豐富的開展。儘管同時兼顧全職工作、事奉教會與神學院課業的挑戰很大，但感謝神最終讓招牧師順利完成學業，取得神學碩士學位。目前招牧師與家人服事於大衛市基督教會 。

After Pastor Kelvin accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 1986, he decided to do whatever God wanted him to do. When he graduated from Ohio State University, he began working at a Christian book store as a computer engineer. He read many Christian books during that time and met different pastors. They made him realize that he could not just enjoy what he had at the moment. He needed to do more for the Lord.

He asked God to give him guidance. He wanted to know His Word in more detail. He knew being a computer engineer meant having a nice job, but he wanted to be fully used by the Lord. God expanded his life through his studies at the seminary. It was not easy working full time in a secular world, serving at church, and studying in seminary, but thanks to God that Pastor Kelvin was able to finish his M.DIV degree. He is now serving at Davis Chinese Christian Church with his family.
